401 Westbound approaching Brockville

Hey Divers, has anyone travelled the 401 West from 416 to Brockville recently? I've heard of nasty contruction slowdowns and wondering if its worth taking Hwy 2 from Prescott instead. Opinions please and thanks in advance,

Take number 2 if your coming during the week.
If you coming on a weekend it's OK.
I drive tractor trailer and if it was allowed I would be on #2 but I haul tankers of hazardous stuff so I'm banned from #2 instead I sit in traffic and check out the short skirts......You wouldn't believe what people do in there cars going down the highway and what I can see from up high :wacko:

Last time I was there (last Wednesday) it looked ok. I think they are about done paving. I'll be there tomorrow so I'll let you know what I see

On the weekend it's OK to travel on the 401. I had no problems this past weekend (Aug 23/24)

It's looking close to being finished though and the schedule says Fall 2003 (if you can believe that).

Weird, I've never had any trouble getting to Brockville. Sure, it slows you down, but I still get there and I still think it's quicker by 401 than highway 2... although a lot less scenic.
