Fin Strap

I was teaching a pool session this past weekend when a student realized she bought a pair of fins with one of the straps and attached buckle missing. My spare set would not fit her and, for some odd reason, I left my spare straps back at home. Anyways, I came up with a pretty interesting solution for the pool session that might save someone a lot of trouble one day.

We attached one of my spare mask straps to the fin, making a pretty nice and easy quick-fix. It worked out very well and was more comfortable than her other fin!

Lessons learned:
1. Bring spare fin straps
2. Check your fins before leaving the scuba store

Bungee actually works pretty well too.
