Can someone help me understand why the computer was designed to not be turned off?

Is there a trick to saving some battery life?

Thank you.

Try reading you manual. That would help a lot.

Why so cheap it a $5 dollar battery. And what is the current (I) draw of the when it's in surface mode.

jleon,

I own the Aeris XR2 dive computer. Mine is not air integrated like the 750GT but I had the same issue when I first got it. The computer would stay on for an hour, sometimes two or so. I looked through the manual and couldn't really find any explanation for it. So, I called Aeris and the support staff told me that it stays on for two to three hours after it has been powered on. I'm assuming this is probably the way the 750GT has been designed also...
