Hi Guys,
All set for our departure to the Maldives soon. Both kitted up with cameras and hoping to get some lovely photography. Could anyone out there recommend any particular areas of interest for Photography?

Thanks in advance

Jason

Live-aboard will be the best choice for anyone diving comes first and everything else after.
Ari-Atoll can be good to get little bit of everything. (Mantas,Whale-Shark,Grey Reefs,White Tips,Turtles,Napoleons,Hammers etc...)

Yes got to the express with hardly any current and lovely sharks and napoleon.
Heard all kinds of stories of divers having to hang on there but we were lucky. Here is one of the shots taken on the express.

I'm looking at a liveaboard in Maldives Feb 2011. How many dives did you do a day?

Most Maldives liveaboards do 3 dives per day plus the odd night dive.

Dives 1 & 2 will generally have a bit of current. Dive 3 will often be shallow & scenic. Not too many night dives as the current tends to really kick off around sunset so you only get a night dive at sites where they are confident the current is slight & they can pick you up!

Cheers

John
