Before you start, I did do a search but apart from the museum area, I didn't find much.
So, any good shore dives around Kingston? I hear the Brule (sp?) Quarry is undergoing some improvements. Anyone been there lately? How about Odessa Lake?
Thanks!

Tom,
Any chance you could make some of those smaller shots on your site enlargable? There are some nice ones there.

Tom R,
Is there a best time of year to do these Kingston Shore dives? Less algae bloom anytime?
Been wanting to do these for some time.

Make sure you stay out of the Napanee River just outside the village of Yarker. My buddy and I were there a few weeks back and I got into a full on scrap with a disgruntled beaver - no joke!

There is little to no algea bloom out of the lighthouse point. It is a park just west of the shop. However, there was a thermo clime at the 35 to 40 ft mark. That was 2 weekends ago. I thought it was pretty neat. The dive is lined but watch your gas as the line runs way out into the channel. Also, the particulate is mightly fine so you need to keep about 10 ft off the bottom.

The Lighthouse park is in Amherstview, commonly known as Nicohsons Point.
Diving in Kingston is great anytime, the Alge blooms is the same as the rivers and it's the warmth of the water that allows it. The Lake is clear and vis is 50 - 60 feet below 70ft as of 1 hour ago. It was great on the Munson for the first crew on the wreck. The rest of us got to see a little less.:out:

Ah, yes. The mighty beaver. A proud and noble creature. A true representative of this great northern nation.
:hmmm: a hairy thing with a big butt and buck teeth that can kick your ass! Gotta love it!
I'll be diving in Kingston this weekend so I might (time permitting) check out a couple of the spots at least at the entry points.

Just contact Tom R from this thread. The park is west of NTD off Bath Rd.Enjoy the dives. I would of like to show you the place but I will not be in town for 2 or 3 weeks. I have family visiting for the rest of the month.
Take good care and
safe dives.
