Just returned from a trip to Haguro and Sun Vista on board MV Empress II. What a trip!!! Thank you very much Vidar.
HMS Exeter in next couple of yrs please !!!

Sun Vista: Big wreck and intact with lots of easy penetration.
IJN Haguro: Different story, a bit deeper, darker, fishing net, strange current. More challenging to say the least. A sick bay near the stern with human remain in it??

both great dives.

I definately saw human remains ( x2) near the stern but I thought they were in a shattered gun turret. Open circuit air after a long hard swim from the tower made it all a bit fuzzy!

Good 'ol Capt Skoglie and his battle ax:wink: ! Vidar sure has some cool stories to tell. . .

Want to do Haguro one of these days through Tech Asia and M/V Empress, but the proposed trip will likely be an expensive one as Techasia usually tries to stay for at least five days minimum & 10 dives total over these historic WWII wrecks, with full mixed gas helium and O2 deco support.

Good to hear all went well!

We did intend to spend 4 days on the wreck but the weather had other ideas!!!

If he decides to write a book on his under water adventures all those years in SE Asia. He needs a lot more gin + tonic to refresh his memory BUT not his jokes!!!!

Cheer.
