I contacted Dive Rite with your question. Here is their answer;

"Not much luck on this one. They break down the package to not include
the tubing/ fittings/ etc, however the bodies are something that they receive
as a whole unit, and are going to be where the bulk of the pricing is. As
much as they hate to say it, this one is going to result in a new pee valve.
Just the raw body by itself would be only a few dollars less than the complete unit."

that really sucks. Forget to tighten it on a dive and the next thing you know you are out 100 dollars. Thanks for the info. I have a feeling my next valve will not be a dive rite because of this. Light monkey sells a replacement for 10 bucks. Guess it is all in the design. :(
