I'm trying a 100 cu alum tank tomorrow and was wondering how much weight I should, take off? I Usually dive with an 80 alum. Thanks

My list has empty weights as:
Catalina standard 80 at +4.1
Catalina neutral 80 at 0.0
Catalina 100 at 0.0

Luxfer standard 80 at +4.4
Luxfer 99.3 at +3.2

I can vouch for the two standard 80 numbers.

If you've been using a standard 80 and going to a 100, four pounds off the belt should do it.

how about going from a 120cf steel to a 100al?

Hey genesis, You got room for my 100cf when I come down this fall for some good fish?

it won't fit in the racks on the boat - they're all for the 7.5" tanks.

Those water heaters do occasionally show up - we'll stick 'em in the salon.... :) One of the guys who dives with us occasionally has a couple.

Since I don't know which steel 120, the best I can do is give you a couple of links.

While I'm sure that they did their best to compile this, some of the numbers are clearly bogus. Be forewarned.

This one seems to be a bit better, but I haven't looked at it all that closely. It might actuallly be worse.

Of course, the water is always the real judge.
