I too am a bird watcher.
I particularly like the Russian Bird that frequents Egypt. They often have very long legs and are a very attractive bird. The males of the species are normally a lot fatter than the females and less attractive however they can often be seen doing a swaying type of dance presumably to attract the females.
 
Back to the plot - mermomma I'm not so familiar with hurghada but there is plenty of "twitching" to be done on the Sinai - unfortunately my friend the bird fancier has just disappeared to an island in the pacific somewhere to study birds... I'll drop him a line and see if he has any contacts there

Thanks guys! I think he's probably got some idea of how to watch russian birds ... but Crowley I would really appreciate any info you might get from your friend
