Planning to take advantage of the lack of rainfall we've been experiencing around Ft. Myers, and go dive some shallow reefs tomorrow. I'm hearing the inshore waters have been much clearer than normal, so hopefully that holds true for offshore waters.

Anyone been in the GOM lately? How were the conditions? :cool2:
 
Well. we ventured out to the ARC tower site, about 15nm off Sanibel today. My first time at this artificial reef, and the Gulf was the clearest I've seen it in a while. Great day to try out my new speargun. Had about 40' viz, and smooth flat seas. Water was 65F at the surface, and 60F at the bottom, 59 feet.

HUGE Goliaths and AJ's out there. :cool2:
 
60 degrees? Isn't that ice diving for ya?
