Any of you guys and gals out there know where I can get a (good condition) used copy of Vance Harlow's touted 'bible''- Scuba regulator maintenace & repair? The new copies are retailing for $50 but I'm looing for a used copy that reatils for less than this. The currency exchage is killing me again!! Planning to pay by credit card & have the item delivered to an American (Ohio) address.

Thanks Knavey;

How come when I look on e-Bay it's never there?

Thanks again dude!! I put in a bid for it & hoping that I get it because everyone who is someone keeps refering to 'the' book.

May the gods of diving smile upon your kindness!!!

Most people that buy it don't use it and get rid of it. I have had mine for a while and refer to it once in a while for little problems with my regs. the new ones have laminated covers so it holds up pretty well even with hard use. I'd sell mine, but only for about $40 and only if Vance came out with a new edition.

Dan, here's the web URL for the publisher. You can order online from there. Also nice as they put updates as they get them for the books on the site as well. http://www.airspeedpress.com/

the regulator service book is excellent even if you don't plan on doing a full service to your own regs.

and the oxygen hackers handbook is a good read also, it dispells many of the rumors and LDS urban legends about mixing nitrox, how complicated and expensive it is and why a LDS "needs" to charge $50 to O2 clean a tank. it will shows how many of these simple things can be DIY for next to no money, with no special training.

Probably why no LDS will ever carry this book on their shelves (except in the back where the do the service)

Someone outbid me on e-Bay.$41 is a bit steep as the new copy cost $50. Anyone on the board got a copy to sell for $30 or less? Anything more than that is better off getting from Airspeedpress. Any takers?

Nyresq-can I persuade you to go lower on your offer for a scuba soul in Malaysia struggling with the exchange rate?:rolleyes: Please,please???
