A few of us from the Tampa area are debating whether or not to hit head down to LBTS this weekend.

The marine forecast is saying seas will be 2-3 feet. Can anyone in the area give me some advice?

I love the shore dive at LBTS, but it's very hit and miss. Thank you.:)

If you get blown out, there is always Blue Heron Bridge

A lot of people use it as a back up site, including some dive boats

If the winds are from the west it can be flatter. If the winds are from the east, it can be choppier. It is usually flatter in the morning than in the afternoon. Other than that, there's no good way to predict what the wave/current/vis conditions are out there on any given day.

Anyone know what the water temperatures will likely be?

Appreciate the info.

Cheers, Walt
