Hey Divers, I am visiting my wifes sister in Vancouver Washington in a few weeks and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction to get wet. Anyone know where the closest diving, ggod spots, or dive stores? Thanks Kevin

Most everyone in this area goes up north to Puget Sound to dive. Nothing locally for diving in the Portland/Vancouver area.

For a local dive shop in Vancouver try Thunderreef. Most of us head north to Puget Sound or Hood Canal, both are a couple hours drive from Vancouver. If you decide on Hood Canal, Sund Rock is a nice shore dive, there are a couple dive shops in Hoodsport, Mikes and Hoodsport and Dive.

Dove a couple of weeks ago with Don and Diane Coleman out of Pleasant Harbor Marina north of Hoodsport on the Hood Canal.

Super operation! Don is careful and thorough in his operation and briefings. Diane is always right there with advice, hot-fresh water to wash off or warm your gear AND.. with hot drinks, food and good cheer.

Check out their web site. If you are going to dive out here, get on a boat and really see something.
