Dove the east end of the Cape Cod Canal today. Vis was great 20-25ft..Temp was fine for wet suit, Problem was NO FISH:shocked2: I was really psyched for a flounder dinner. Hey a couple of bugs too would be nice. Found one bug, couldn't wrestle her out..[females really dig in] so I left her. Really very barren with no fish...though I did see alot of jelly fish. All in all a nice way to spend a few hours. Sight seeers go for it ...Hunters give it some more time:dontknow:

Porgy do you dive from Scusset Beach or over by STB?

Both...They are great dives for Fish/lob Just dive them 2hrs before low tide until high tide. High tide working to low will pull ya in the canal. I use a hand truck to get my gear to the sandwich jetty. Great little dressing area at the end of the dirt road to the jetty [cement slab with stainless box to sit on] Have fun

Cool my wife and kids love Scusset. I have brought a mask and snorkel just to goof off but never full gear I will have to try it this summer. Curious though are there a lot of mono filament lines from snagged fishing gear? I know a lot of people fish the jetty and I have seen quite a few lobster pot markers as well.

Augk....I have caught my lob limit many times at Scusset. Also found nice big bugs in 4ft of Water. Yes hazzards abound around the jetty I just take it very slow and check around myself at all times. It is a really good spot I have seen seals, torpedo ray, Cod, Pollack, goosefish, plus some tropicals off the end in late summer. I boat out there alot and would love to show you the ropes there. I'll P.M.you when I plan to go. Very soon;)
