Hello,
I will be visiting Melbourne for the weekend in June, Any advice on some great open water dive areas?

Diving is not good in Melbourne, I usually go down to West Palm or Pompano for diving.

If you must dive near Melbourne, drive down to Vero Beach or Ft. Pierce for good shore diving.

Got boat? You need to go way off shore to get any good diving in. I usually run down to Jupiter, or further south.

Pepper Park in Ft Pierce can be a good but very shallow shore dive if the wind has been out of the west, otherwise I'd drive another 90 minutes south to the Blue Heron Bridge in WPB.
Deep 6 in Vero or Jensen Beach should be able to give you a shore viz report.
