dear all,

ok I've tried to find out, but please help, I'm lost.

I'd like to use a 17-40mm on a 5DmkII, with a 8" (5510.45) dome and be able to switch from 17 to 40mm.

What ports do I need ?

many thanks,

Laurent

yeah I'm sure they have. Thanks so much jdcpa, you're so helpful....
I'm lost in their charts that's why I come asking.

Hi Bill,

thanks for the info. I've seen this page already and it doesn't answer my question.
(not smart enough to well understand is also an option)

Sorry for not being clear enough, so here again :

I'd like to use a canon 17-40mm + 5DmkII, and zoom from 17 to 40

I already have :
#5510.45 Dome Assembly
#5510.11 port body

Am I done if I get the #5510.75 Focus Extension, only ?

PS, bill, sent you an e-mail about 5" dome, not sure you got it.

best

Laurent

correction :

Hi Bill, thanks for the info. I've seen this page already (read like a fool) and it does answer my question.
:D

Hi Laurent
The 5510.24 that is recommended moves the dome out 1.9" from the housing. The 5510.10/11 moved the dome out .4" from the housing. Yes you can add a 5510.75 to the 5510.10.11 and be about the proper distance away but ikelite says and I agree with them.

"The Focus Extension should NOT be used with the bayonet-style #5510.10 or #5510.11 Super-Wide Angle Port Bodies"

You need to acquire a 5510.24 for that lens.

I have you email at work but and I will try to answer it latter tonight.

Thanks to everyone for your helpful posts!

The "large diameter zoom set" #5509.28 is included with all Ikelite dSLR housings and will allow you to zoom 17-40mm with the lens. Use the #5510.24 port body with your #5510.45 dome in place of the #5510.11.

The #5510.75 focus extension is only intended for use with Canon 100mm and Nikon 105mm lenses.

Regards,
Jean / Ikelite
