Bradenton bech has a few shore dives i have yet to dive. Were you by chance a member of Tampasportbikes.com?
Yep, there is a small ledge out of Anna Maria Island. Or fossil diving at Venice.
Don't know of anything else accessible from shore. There are some rocks/ruins that you can snorkel around off of the southwest edge of Egmont Key, but you have to take a ferry to get there and the currents may be dangerous (don't want to end up in the rocks).

The winds have been up so Spanish Rocks most likely it will be blown out.
A few of us are heading up to Rainbow River Saturday instead.
