Does anyone have any information concerning this wreck and the possibility of diving it? gooddive.com says it is in the San Carlos/Guaymas area in the Sea of Cortez but I have been unable to find any detailed info. Thanks.

I'll assume you already read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_H-1_(SS-28)

If you can get ahold of a magnatomiter it sould be easy to scan the 50' depth contour around Santa Margarita Island for a large iron indication.

Also it might be marked on any charts of teh area from the NOAA.

Ok, more info. It appears that it was salvaged in 1920. Probably not there anymore USN Ships--USS H-1 (Submarine # 28)
Your link was missing a character - corrected: USS H-1 (SS-28) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia where it also says...
...she was sold for scrap in June 1920, but never recovered.
