Now it looks like Aere is going to spare Taiwan, but rake Japan's south side. At least it's staying in TS wind speeds altho the rains can still be torrential.
 
It was an interesting storm, as it passed Manila. Quite constant strong winds, with intense thunder, lighting and heavy rain. Not much structural damage to be seen here, apart from a few large billboard adverts torn down. There were some flash floods, at the height of the rain, but those were more to do with blocked drainage, than an overwhelming amount of precipitation.
 
I think I read 22 deaths in Philippines? Looks like the TS will now skirt Japan.
