I am about to move into side mount diving and in the winter I will do it in -1 C waters. In the summer water will be five degrees warmer. This means a lot of insulation and 32 lbs of ballast (tanks & weights included).

What are the heaviest steel tanks that you use for sidemount?

How do you attach additional lead? Fixed to the harness? Droppable? Belt? Tank weights? ...

To make things interesting, I decided to get a belt harness..
