Building my own backplate bcd. I've narrowed my choices down to a Dive Rite Transplate or a Hollis Elite 2 for the harness, a Hollis or OMS SS backplate with matching pad, a DSS or Oxycheq wing, and Dive Rite tank straps. No dive shop in my area has any of these components in stock for me to look at. I only dive in warm water anymore and wanted something more travel friendly and less drag when diving in a current then my Zeagle Ranger LTD. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Darren

If you're going to get a DSS wing, you really should get a DSS plate. Not only will you save money on a full package, but the DSS wing simply "pops" off the DSS plate for storage and travel. Check out the video on the DSS website.

Got to agree with Fisheater.

Decided on a Oxycheq extreme wing and a basic hog harness, what ss backplate would be a good choice for this wing?

Not all wings fit on all plates. I "think" that a Dive Rite plate will take the Oxycheq wing but I am not sure.
