Dear forum,
When I do a search online for an a700 mk17 Din regulator set, all I get are the super low price ($550) grey market European sellers. If I were to buy from them, I would have the manufacture's lifetime defect warranty, but no free rebuild parts for life warranty.
That is where I just go in an pay $20 bucks yearly for labor and the parts are on Scubapro.

I was hoping to get a USA version that I can register for under $700 online somewhere. Do you know of any place?

Thanks

Thanks for the link.
I don't live by any dive shops, does anyone know what dive shop has the lowest price or is having a sale?
Thanks

If the shop follows the rules you will only be able to get it for at most 10% off retail... LeisurePro is a good place to get it cheaper if you don't mind not having a warranty. ScubaPro is very strict about the prices and what there dealers can sell them for.

I've been told the end run around this policy is to sell the reg as part of a package deal.

Labor is alot more than $20. In NY we charge $59. to service a 1st/2nd stage regulator

a octopus (alt air)..parts for the regulator you wrote about are $22. and $32. for the 1st and 2nd stages. So not having a warrenty with the free parts can double the cost of annual servicing.

Seems the kick in the dick for OP is that he is not near a shop/op. The retailers cannot discount more than 10%. It's been my experience however, that many shops will do what they need to do for your business. Particularly if you are local.

When I purchased my first Mk25 S600, I received the 10% discount and was loaded up with a fill card from the shop. Came very close to what LP was selling them for at the time. The free parts and warranty more than made up for the difference over the next few years. Now I have a life time warranty with free parts for life. Cake.

Another local shop I know has sweetened the deals by offering dive trips.

When I put my daughter's kit together, I took advantage of one of SP's specials. Purchased a BC and reg and got a free computer. In line with what I would have paid at LP and have a lifetime warranty and parts for life.

I bought a pair of jets a few years ago. Got the 10% and the shop gave me, fitted me and installed spring straps. Net, less than LP.
