I took some heat from some of you when I posted my dissatisfaction with the weight pocket handles on my Black Diamond BCD. One of them tore off the pocket.
On a recent visit to my shop, I noticed an equipment advisory from AquaLung concerning this matter as I apparently was not alone. Unfortunately, the nice, full color 8-1/2 x 11 advisory is not posted on their website.
So anyone who has the newer style SureLock II weight pockets, please check with your shop about this potential problem. The handles tearing off instead of the weight pockets coming out in an emergency is no time to find out there is an advisory due to the sharp edges of the plastic the handles are molded to.
