Conch Republic Divers had the honor of hosting a group from Ft Bragg this past week. The Trident Dive Club are widows and children consisting only of special forces soldiers who have been killed in the operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This is a new dive club for Gold Star Wives who were able to obtained their dive certifications during their visit. We also had some great activities such as sun-set cruise, swimming with dolphins, and kayaking. Lots of good memories.
As you know we have been very closely involved with SUDS(Soldiers Undertaking Disable Scuba) in the past and will continue to support that group as well, but this group holds another special place in my heart.
We are looking to continue working with this group and a contribution would greatly be appreciated if you'd like to help. The Chatham Bay Foundation a 501(c)3 non-profit organization is heading the club and your donation is tax deductible. A website is being created and once up you will be able to donate directly to them.
