Unbelievable!! What a majestic creature! Had a chance to swim with a whale shark for almost an hour today South of Palm Beach Inlet. Once-in-a-lifetime for sure. I got photos of my entire open water class with/ near the shark.

That's amazing! Beautiful for you and a whale shark for OW students?!? They are spoiled for life. ;)

It appears so comfortable around you. I wonder if it's the same one those guys saw off Sarasota last week. (thread a couple pages back) I have no idea how far these animals can travel in a few days but it seems crazy that there are two friendly whale sharks in Florida waters.

So, so, so lucky! I'm headed to the area Tuesday to visit my kids in Jensen Beach. I plan to come by the shop while there to get some info diving with y'all next time I'm in town.

Beyond awesome. Gonna be tough for your students to top that during future trips.

Your future classes are going to be asking "where's our's?"

Dang! That is *so* cool! Did you get a sense of whether the shark even noticed that you guys were there?

Here is a video I just got from my friend Jim Abernethy, of the whaleshark ....it was actually hanging out with over a dozen divers for over an hour! This was shot by a member of jimmy's crew, Lindsay ballard.

Thanks for posting Dan.
I had seen bits of the vid on WPBF's site. I was going to post it, but this is the spectacular.

Steve: Were you on Jimmy's boat?
