First magnitude means it discharges greater than 100 cf/min. At Troy, it doesn't have any effect on diving. The spring is small and the basin is large. Lights aren't allowed at Troy and you're not going to penetrate the spring. If you get directly in front of the spring, you might feel the flow a little. At Jackson Blue it makes swimming penetration into the cave difficult because you're swimming in against this flow (when we're not experiencing a drought).
