Not a real emergency, but then we needed expert medical counsel ASAP: My 18 yo grandson is off with his GF's family and sent a text home that he dived deep in a lake and popped his ear drum...!

Yeah, I taught them how to equalize on free dives. I've given some of them 2 snorkel classes over the years, him included, but he never listens.

Yeah, I have asked them to not swim in lakes. We lose a lot of Texans every summer to such, but they do it.

Yeah, I gave them inflatable snorkel vests, but I can't get them to use them.

Anyway, my daughter wanted my advice on what he should do next to save his ear? I am not qualified to answer so I gave her DAN's 24 hour number. No he wasn't scuba diving, and no they are not members - but neither matters. DAN took the call and gave her the medical advice she needed when she needed it: Now! :thumb:
