I just don't log dives
as mselenaous and deeper thoughts eluded to in a reply to yesterdays molasses report and their own threads: it's been chamber of commerece weather for over a week on the water in monroe county. today a double on deep molasses(2 northern buoys), the downside is that we've had to compete with a few commercial dive operators taking advantage of the lack of current on the deeper sites. calm winds, flat seas and zero current. viz only 45-50FT(forget wide angle), blue/green, particulates, 83-84F @ 50-95FT. effortless diving. 3 uncommon animals observed and photographed today: longsnout butterfly fish, bluespotted cornetfish(reef fish id book, uncommon, depth:5-30FT, we observed the animal @ 55FT and iv'e only observed them on the dropoff) and a caribbean reef octopus(i think),,,,,,,,,,,

We'll be there in 5 days. I sure hope these conditions continue. I love to hear these daily reports as we get closer though. Keep them coming. :)

As always, your pictures are amazing!

The Queen Angel with the red coral is my favorite this time. I need to get down there again.

very nice

so need to get back down there again soon.

More great pics TimG! I love the surface shot of the clouds on a blue blue sky.

Unusual critters indeed. On French Reef yesterday, I looked in a hole because I saw the tail end of a grouper and realized that rock next to him had eyes...yes it was a frog fish in his finest "incognito" pose.

Those are some fantastically gorgeous photos. I would love to see a cornetfish in the Atlantic. They are pretty common in the Pacific, but are a different species without the spots. One suggestion: I think your photos would be even better if they were posted in a larger size. 600 wide is too small for them to be fully appreciated.
