Hey, Scubaboarders, I need some Samana info, please.

Aside from HowardE, has any SBers dived Samana, if yes, can you share your dive experience, ie: sites dived and shop used?

Has any Scubaboader stayed here:
Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado- Hotels in Samana<br /> (http://www.bahia-principe.com/BP/resorts/resort/CayoLevantado)

The island and resort is being considered for a destination wedding in Nov 2012.

It's not my wedding so let's stop the rumor mills now before my PM box explodes with questions and congratulatory messages. :D

Thanks and appreciate any feedback on Samana, the resort and the diving.

Samana is a great destination for a wedding, really nice area and the resort great too. But as a diving destination is not the best. This area is more known for whale watching between January and March.

Some of the wedding guests are avid divers so thought we'd do some diving while we're there. Thanks for your reply.

I heard there are caves there as well, so am looking into that too.
