very interested in buying a hog reg set.... but my question is how would i get them serviced?? i have to order them online so servicing them could be a problem..... i wish they had a online course on how to service your own regs cause there are no courses around here for me to attend:shakehead:

I have a lot of experience as a technician in the Navy. I still found in both useful and vital to my understanding to take a series of regulator rebuilding courses and then have follow up hands on mentorship before I felt comfortable servicing my own regs let alone other peoples. While online learning is a great thing I think finding a local HOG dealer / TDI instructor to work with you and have a mentoring relationship with you will help you achieve what you want to. I can't imagine it would be overly expensive (I would charge two hundred for the PADI equipment specialist) and probably a lot less if you bought your regs from me and wanted to learn how to service them (note I am not certified yet to rebuild HOG regs) because to me an educated customer will end up as a safer more aware diver. Plus, really I don't think I'm going to lose too much business training you to do your own, it's like doing VIPs... I really don't make enough on them to make a profit when you consider the time spent.
