Started out with terrible thermocline 64 degrees most places up to 69 at best then in the last 2 weeks warmed to 78.Vis has been off the chart most of the time,I could see the boat from 120' down and 120' away last week.Currents have been very diveable from Jax to NC til recently with strong currents to the South.
Found a tile deck on a freighter in 120' that I will retrieve a piece or 2 later in the year,found a few new spots that have fossils but no megs so far.Haven't found any wrecks this summer so far but we have traded for a few old LORAN books that may bear some fruit.
Best dive of the year and probly one of my top dives ever recently shot this 109lb black grouper,video is on youtube not for the sqeamish.Routinely see these guys but they are not that big by being stupid.
