Looking for a Dive Buddy!

Hi Everyone on Ontario Fresh Water Freaks!

I am new to the message board and I am a new diver. I am looking for a diev buddy for the occassional dive. I was wondering if there are any other divers out there that are in need of a buddy as well. I am hoping to go diving one more time this year before it gets too cold. If not then I would still like to find a dive partner for next season.

if posting here on ScubaBoard doesn't help you in your search for a dive buddy.. you might want to try contacting a few of the dive shops in the Kitchener-London area... sometimes shops will have lists of people looking for buddies! i've also found that going on dives with a shop or dive club is a great way to meet potential dive buddies...

You can also propose a diving trip and see who would like to come along. I did that previously and the turn out was quite good. Or if you see other trips planned you can see if you can join them, I am sure they won't mind. :D
NavyDoll has a good idea too - check with your LDS as they will have plenty of trips going on...

There are several of us on here from Kitchener who'll probably be doing another dive (or two or three) yet this year. I had thought I might get wet this Sunday (Oct 26), but have come down with a cold and don't expect it'll clear before the weekend (almost makes me glad I hadn't planned on the OFWF get together).

Where did you do your certifying dives? And where else have you dove already?

I went through a shop in London, called Divers Down.
I did my certification dives in Tobermory.
I have also been to Innerkip.
I hope to get to Point Pelee as well as a few other dive sites in the summer next year!
