This artificial reef is located just 100' from the deep wall dive site "Sand Chute" where the top of the reef drops off from 60 feet to 4,000 feet. This site is a awesome technical dive from advanced nitrox to advanced tri-mix. At the depths of 200-300 is a wave notch which is called the sponge belt. Even at these depths you still have ambient light because of the great visibility and warm water. Then you ascend to your deco stops on the USS Kittiwake which sits in the sand at 60' with the bridge 8' from the surface. What a awesome way to complete a hour of deco obligations. The ship was cleaned, opened up and designed for technical dives in mind by Nancy at Divetech.

It the best deco I have ever done :D

Honestly you come up from a deep wall dive and have this amazing wreck to explore while you decompress. It rocks.
