Thanks Bob3 October 25th, 2003, 01:55 PM I sell the "factory" systems, the prices are kind of scary. Your best bet is to assemble your own, a 6cf bottle can be found for $80 - $100, a 1st stage from your local shop (used) or ebay, & last be very important, a popoff (overpressure) valve. You should have maybe $150 - $175 stuck into it, less if you dig up a used bottle. The OMS uses a steel bottle, verrry nice. Keep in mind that the only time a suit inflation system is necessary is if you're diving a mix with helium in it. If your back gas has no helium, an extra undershirt will keep you way warmer than argon vs air. sasdasdaf October 26th, 2003, 11:50 AM Agreed, put your own system together. Get a luxfer 6 cf or 14 cf. They weigh almost nothing under water. Get a simple first stage (I use the Apeks US4) and an OPV and you are good to go.
