Sue Goldman-Shaw will be the guest speaker at the Pacific Wilderness Dive Club meeting tonight. She will be talking about domoic acid, a naturally occuring neurotoxin that causes amnesic shellfish poisoning and affects many animals in the ocean.
Sue is a certified diver who works at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, including stints as a docent on whale-watch boats. She also volunteers at the Fort MacArthur Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro.
The Pacific Wilderness Dive Club meets at 7:30 at El Torito
6605 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach
