10-18-11 Marathon: AM Dives. Reef loaded with large moon jellies. Vis about 3 ft. Did about a 2 minute dive then aborted due to vis. Motored out to Neptune in about 45 fsw. No jellies. Vis improved to about 10-15 ft. Saw 5-6 shootable hogfish and 3 groupers in 35 minutes, but no bugs. Waves 2-4 ft with 6-8 footers mixed in. Better than sitting on the couch, but worst I've ever experienced in the Keys. After this storm blows out, we should get a reprive by Thursday. Looking forward to a few more dives before going back north.
Cross your fingers for good weather!

My backyard rain guage showed 9 inches of rain. I have had to check the boat everyday to make sure the auto float valve and bilge pump were working!!

Forecast and conditions shown at Molasses does not look promising. Winds are not good for diving either. It better clear up by Nov 5th, thats all I have to say!!

severe WX is approaching from the middle keys again this AM. i'd check on your vessel after it passes. schools cancelled and 32KTS @ molasses. 2 boats partially sank this past year in my canal due to faulty bilge pumps(boats saved, however, the outboard engines were a total loss),,,,,,,

If you look close, you can see a couple of moon jellies by that car! Fortunately, the servers are still in Orlando!
