The pass is a quick dive to the bottom and then ascend up as the current pulls you today was max depth of 112'. This is a swimming descent on a 40% slope, the video come out good for just getting back into it, as the current moves it was a bit of a trick to get good photos. There was no deco involved, I had to pull myself on a couple of boulders from current picking up as it levels at bottom it pulls hard.

At the second gauge reading the current was less and was slowly ascending as I kicked to stay in stop for pics. The last two you can see the VIS, and look at last one in 20' the water is blue and I am riding the current and hanging with the school.

The diving here is spectacular I did not make it to the engine block which is a bit deeper then it flattens out. Always ascend when the tide changes so not to fight it, there are up currents and down currents, and if out in the center you do not want to ascend for boat traffic and the whirlpools are not going to be very fun.

The first pic is a fella that has been diving the pass for many many years, double 72's freedom plate and a horse collar, If you notice the overalls, I'm sure this is for water to not go through wet suit, But never ? a veteran diver always observe and learn. The next pic is a couple of old chezk divers, although we all did our own diving I did happen to run into everyone a bit while videoing.

I ran into this big guy down there, my pics are are few and between, getting a good pic in current is very hard when not touching anything and kicking and staying still. So out of many only a few OK pics.

Today I went looking for the engine block and made it to 131' as the vis was a bit better then yesterday. I found some electronics down there today, and got a pic to see if I can get a bid going on Ebay. The video turned out better and spent more time on pics this time. Also took a couple of wall to to surface for a vis shot.

It is blurry for the current turned yet you can see it lit up at 65', I drifteted the wall and then slowed at the reef, Great bounce the bottom was moving good and was manageable at 75'.
