I came across a octopus setup online for a decent price (I hope). I know Sherwoods are built like tanks, can anyone help tell me what models these maybe and years?

This is a Sherwood Oasis 2, circa early-mid 90s. I'm not a fan of current Sherwood regs. This is the most recent Sherwood reg that I like. Some may think that the second stage is large and looks a little "dated", but it is very comfortable to dive and has some nice features: angled hose to second stage housing reduces hose tug, larger exhaust T keeps bubbles out of view (I like how it rests on my chin - very comfortable), and it has the moisture retention vanes. I have one of these and enjoy it. I like my Oasis + a little better- (little). It proves that you do not need a bunch of user adjustments to have a good performing reg. Oh yeah, this was one of the good ones.

I, too, had one of these in the early/mic 90's. Probably the best breathing Sherwood reg and octo I ever had--considerably better than the current oval second stage models. Service parts are readily available, but second stage plastic parts can be difficult to find. One caveat, is that on this and earlier models, the dry bleed orifice is located in the piston(later ones are located in the body, and are readily replaceable), necessitating a piston replacement if this orifice is blocked.

Thanks for the help guys. I was trying to read the scratched writting on it and thought I had a blizzard.
