Grrr = total frustration, have just arrived back in Cyprus and had dives planned today and tomorrow before checking in with the office on Monday but couldn't dive because of high winds and rough seas - same forecast for tomorrow - so looks like that has blown out too.:(

Went and did a little light caving above ground instead :banana::banana::banana: - what do you all do when a dive gets cancelled due to weather?

I'm so happy for you! when I first saw the title of your post I thought some health malady had made it impossible for you to ever dive again. Congratulations on being able to pursue diving when conditions permit. Have fun and keep smiling (or start?).

I have been in your situation twice. Once with my wife and diving daughter in the Bahamas as hurricane Francis and 3 other named hurricanes swirled around us. We were in a B&B with a very smelly dog. We read a LOT. The other times I was alone in Coz. Had spent the previous day in the chamber and hospital. I had 4 days left on my dive vacation. I read a LOT.

Double your conditions capability

or go over to the other side,
of the peninsula

and come on here anyways
if you can or cant or did or
didn't

I try to have fun, like ride my motorcycle, goto the gun range or do something other than work or chores :D

I hang drywall in the master bath due to damage from a slow roof leak.

I'd rather be in Cyprus.

I often take a hike or a mountain bike ride, stroll down the coastline, poke into tide pools and shoot photos.

If snowbirding I do the other stuff--go to the beach, the casino, whatever and watch TV. And keep at the LDS as to when the boat will be re-scheduled to go out and if there will be enough local divers to fill it due to the "frigid" north Gulf of Mex. winter waters...... If we're home I just wait for the next nice day, being retired. I seem to always get my 20 or so Fall dives in.
