I took a short video in Monterey of a sheep crab going for a walk. They are quite striking and pre-historic looking as they walk around the sandy ocean floor. I placed my 9 inch flashlight in it's path so you can see its size.

Not sure I have seen a sheep crab before. I have dove a bunch in S CA so if they are common there I probably saw one and did not think twice. Looks kinda like an Alaskan King. Thanks for sharing.
 
Yep that is a sheep crab and dang that is some clear water! They are so fun to watch, I love seeing them in large herds waking together.

Thanks for sharing. I embedded the video into your post for you. We have a smaller version of that here in Florida, but I have no idea what they are called. I have to admit being a sheepish about that. :D
