For the first day in 3 weeks, it laid down yesterday. We decided to ditch work and get out there (can make it up on Sunday!). Blue Tang was going out so we booked the a.m. trip. Beautiful calm weather for the dives. First was Juno Ledges, with great vis, 80' at the beginning and maybe 50' at the end. Turtles, rays, goliaths, spadefish, all the ususal tropical suspects. Some type of 3 foot long coronetfish that was spectacular and a unique sighting for us. Next up, the tunnels, more turtles, more goliaths, and a half dozen reef sharks.

By noon it was flat. Decided to to the p.m. trip as well. First stop the Zion corridor. Spectacular. 80'+ visibility. LOTS of goliaths on the Miss Jenny and the Bonaire. Pretty stiff current (we were crawling by hand thru the sand) but nothing that was not do-able. Just a great dive. Glad we rented the steel 100s!!

Next dive was on a reef, with more turtles, more spadefish, huge rays, more goliaths (goliaths on every dive!). Vis getting bad, down to 40' or so but great fish action.

This was just a great day of diving. Thanks to ScubaWorks and the Blue Tang for the great service as always! We were having diving withdrawal with this bad weather and got just what we needed!
