Turtle Fins

I dove my new turtle fins in the pool today. They fit quite nicely on my size 15 feet :) though there is slight wobble over my wetsuit boots (I was in the pool helping with a class). I'm sure with my rock boots they'll be perfect.

I did notice that one has to dump the water out of the foot pockets as these fins are not self draining. Has anyone drilled holes to avoid this? Or do I just need to develop the habit of dumping my fins out before climbing the ladder?

I just dump the water out when I'm done diving and it works fine for me.

Is the foot pocket on the turtle fins bigger than on the jetfins? The XL jetfins don't fit well over my drysuit boots.

Most people don't drill holes, here in NFL we keep the water in our fins to rinse off our booties.

R... SP is coming out with XXL jet fins for use with rock boots (or supersize feet in Atticus's case). Should start shipping this month.

The Turtle fins have huge foot pockets. Even with my size 15 feet they are loose over my wet suit boots. With rock boots they fit my feet well.

I think the typical complaint about Turtles is that the foot pocket is too large for normal feet. ;)

FIFTEEN? woah. I wear an 8 1/2...

I'm in that no-man's land with fins. XL Jets too small over my 9 rockboots, and the turtles...well, lets just say the spring strap has essentially NO curve to it as it spans across the foot-hangar.

Maybe XXL jets will fit my tiny stumps. It the turtles are wobblin' on your planks, imagine what its like with my boyman feet.

That's what we do also. We use the water to wash off our drysuits when we are done.
