Just read about this horrible news! An endangered specie has been killed by an underwater diver. Jeez, people today doesn't really care much about the other living beings around them =_=

Am I right in thinking that's a humphead wrasse? Truly horrendous that in this day and age a diver would spear such a majestic creature. That said, I don't believe the US has granted the fish endangered status as such, though it is listed as a species of concern. In other countries, apparently it's illegal to kill them, but I can't find anything that says it is in the States...and isn't Guam governed by US law? Maybe that's why the authorities say they can't press charges.

Perhaps somebody who's more familiar with wildlife laws can enlighten us.

Either way, as I said, you'd have to be a colossal piece of #$%& to kill one.
