What is the best tip you ever received on Scuba Board?

I'll start... and though I've used it every day since... the tip had nothing to do with diving.

Are you serious? My daddy taught me to use only water that is "hot, very hot".

To answer the question substantively, I would never have heard of DIR if not for this board. For that I am grateful.

When I first starting reading the board I found many posts on the virtues of the backplate system. After some more reading and other investigation I finally went that way and bought one with the help of Detroit Diver.

I'll have to see what my best tip from ScubaBoard was.... but for Internet in general I learned in Rec.Scuba and a web page how to calculate a SAC. Something I certainly should have learned in OW or AOW but wasn't taught.
