I've been looking for a program for my palm hand held computer to log my dives. PADI has one for $40 US but it doesn't allow for Nitrox when calculating the pressure groups. I also looked at another one that was similar. Has anyone seen one that has a spot to record nitrox and compensate when calculating the PG's?

palmfreeware.com and see if you can't find what you need there. I'm not a Palm expert but I have downloaded a freeware product for my Palm. I use it only until I can download from my Vyper. Hope this helps.

I am putting the final touches on a POCKET PC version but it won't work with a PALM operating system. After debugging I can make it available.

SharkPoint makes a decent one. I just started using the windows based version for my PC but they offer a Palm version as well.

Beware of the SharkPoint for the PocketPC... Althought the program has a lot of potential it is their first version which means it is not entirely stable. Sorry Sharkpoint guys, but it's true, data between my iPAQ and PC databases has become messed up for the second time now... Somehow all my dives are now on the same day and are all at 85' for 10 seconds.
Dive information input is rather awkward too. For Pocket PC, wait for an upgrade from SharkPoint where they will no doubt improve a few things.
I have heard good things about their palm version as it has been out longer - but I have not used it so you're on your own with that one. When I did have a Palm I did use Ruiz Dive Log (www.ruizlog.com) which I found to be quite good. He released v3.0 when I saw the light and moved to PocketPC - his v2.0 was quite good so 3 should be really good!
If someone comes across a GOOD program for the PocketPC, do let us know. L8r.

Well, if your dives were only 10 seconds long, conceivably you could knock out, oh, 8640 dives in a day. What's so hard to believe about that?

Hey folks here is (in my opinion) the best dive program for a palm based unit. It is full featured, will calculate your PGs based on whatever org you prefer (SSI,PADI, etc.) is hi-res color and most important bug free. I'm not the programer or have any affiliation with him, don't even know him but I have been very pleased with the program so far and you can try it out for free. If you like it it's $20 for the registration code.

They don't seem to be able to support the PADI RDP though - PADI legal dept. nixed that for some reason.

You have to calculate your EAN mix to EADs to use the RDP with Nitrox, believe it or not their new eRDP (http://www.padi.com/english/common/products/catalog/erdp/erdp.asp) "calculator" (and I use that term loosely) has the same feature/flaw. This should've been covered in your Nitrox class. Or use the PADI Nitrox tables. BTW, why the love for the RDP?

Does anyone know if Ruizlog is still supported? I had to upgrade my Palm and lost no access to all my dives as I have not been able to get a new registration code. Is there any way to extract the info out of Ruizlog and import it into another log software preferably Palm based?

I use the freeware AquaDiveLog on my Palm, which reads the IR output of my Uwatec computer, but is based on freeware so you can use it to manually log any computer you want.
