KIHEI - A 71-year-old Utah man died at Maui Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, after returning from a scuba dive tour to Molokini in critical condition, police said.
People saw the man swimming toward the tour boat off Molokini, police said. But then the man stopped, and someone pulled him onto the boat.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed on the man, who was brought to the Kihei boat ramp, police said. The man was taken in critical condition to Maui Memorial Medical Center where he died, police said.
Police were notified of the incident around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The man's name was not released, pending notification of his family
