A gripe and a plea

I have a gripe and a plea. First for christmas i decided to get the wife a trip to Catalina to dive. I talked with an employee of the sundiver and through the communication I recieved via phone calls and text messages I was lead to believe everything was set to go for a boat dive leaving Long Beach for a 3 tank dive at Catalina Island. Well I texted yesterday about renting a specific peice of gear and was informed that someone else had chartered the whole boat and there is no room for me and the wife. They did not contact me I only found out because I called them. So now I have taken a week off work and will be driving 600 miles with no boat to dive on!!! (thus the gripe)

Now the plea!
I have contacted Catalina Divers Supply and they have a boat that has 2 reservations + my two. So what my plea is that if someone out there has nothing to do on Jan 25, and would like to dive at Catalina, we need two more divers so the boat can go out and I can make good on my gift to my wife. I know it is difficult to get boats out during the week in the "off season" and that is why i (thought) made plans over a month and one half in advance.

Wow that sucks. Did you make the reservation and pay. If so I don't see how they could bump you off.
I just checked and see that the sundiver express is going out WED 1/25, FR 1-27, and SA 1/28 1/2 open boat this day.
Maybe it was the sundiver big boat.
Other options if you want to drive up to ventura would be the Spectre WED 1/25, or the peace TH 1/26.
How about the catalina express and dive the casino point park.
