That's a kind of puzzle that I just can't resist, no matter the cost to my productivity!

The end of Moss Street is just to the left of the whale's tale. The resolution of the image isn't quite good enough for me to be certain of landmarks in the left-hand portion, so I'm not certain of exactly how far offshore the photo was taken. My best estimate is between a half and three-quarters of a mile, so it was probably taken from a boat.
 
I know, I know where it is..."The Pacific Ocean"!! :D

They have been running hard lately. My friends saw 15 of them on Sunday in Northern Sonoma County. Yet we went out to Tomales Bay (North of SF) on Saturday and then headed outside the bay a few miles and didn't see a single whale. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't.
