I posted this in the Cozumel section but not sure how much exposure that gets. The microatoles are a very unique ecosystem located on the east side of cozumel toward the north tip of the island. There is a good article written on this in the natinonal geograhic newswatach http://newswatch.nationalgeographic.com/20...8/cozumel-2013/
