View Full Version : April 2012 Theme: - Facial expressions (anthropomorphizing is always fun)
April 2nd, 2012, 12:15 AM
A big thanks to NWGratefulDiver for saying that he loved our monthly themes and for suggesting the first for 2012: Facial expressions (anthropomorphizing is always fun)
For those who haven't participated before, here's how it works:
- look at the title for the theme
- find a photo you have taken that suits the theme
- post it up here with a little information
- visit the thread often
- take the time to let others know you like their shots - no critiques! This is a safe thread so everyone can join no matter skill or experience or technical savvy :)
You don't have to be a professional or someone who dives every day. We want to see any photo you have that fits the theme - this is the place to see lots of interesting pictures and post your own in a fun community way! We want lots and lots of photos so don't be shy!!
I'll start us off with one from this past weekend - Yodelling anemonefish:
Oh-di-lay-ee-ay, di-lay-dee-oh, de-lay-ee

In his famous article "Blub Story", Dave Barry posits that fish have only a two word vocabulary ... "Food?" and "Yikes!" I think he might be onto something ...

I rather enjoy the facial expressions on each of these critters. This was from a recent dive in Howe Sound.
"HRMPFF! I do NOT approve"
"I'm so Happy!" (when you see it, you'll know... Unless Im' crazy and imagining things)
"What are you doing down here, you can't breathe underwater!?!?!"
